How can I prepare for my appointment?
Avoid dental appointments and vaccines 2 weeks prior
Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours prior
If you get cold sores, take medication prior as fillers can cause an outbreak
What is the aftercare?
Avoid ibuprofen. If needed, take Tylenol instead
Avoid hot tubs or saunas for 48 hours
Ensure makeup/ makeup brushes are clean
Use arnica oral or topical for bruising
Use ice to alleviate bruising and swelling
Sharp pain, mottline of skin, dusky bruising is NOT normal. Never hesitate to call your injector if you are concerned.
How long do fillers last?
It depends on the product chosen, and which area is treated. Typical filler duration ranges from 12-24 months, with the exception of lip filler lasting 6-12 months.
Whic areas are commontly treated?
Volume replacement is common in the lips, cheeks, temples, and under eyes
Contouring is common in the chin, lateral cheeks, and jaw line
Hydrating is common in the smile lines, nasolabial folds, necklace lines, and lip lines
